Today, I had my first cooking lesson ever! The course is called "Italy in one plate," meaning that we get to make a little bit of food from every region of Italy. The unique thing about Italy is that everything changes if you drive for about 30 kms - dialect, culture, population, and of course, food. So for the first lesson, the teachers taught us how to cook food from two northern regions, Alto Adige and Lombardia. Even better: the lesson was in Italian!
Now, trust me: I am not good with knifes, fire, etc. But thanks to my friends who seem to be on top of things, I was able to make my first complete meal. Though the food may seem trivial and okay by the appearance from the pictures, it was AMAZING. I can't wait until the next lesson!!
On a side note, I had to walk to my normal bus stop, which happened to be all the way across the town. But of course, nature decided to pull a prank; it was pouring rain. So I walked for 25 minutes in the rain, since my rain jacket did no help. Plus, I was wearing flip flops, and my teacher whom I encountered on the way saw me slip... The bus driver looked at me funnily becaue I got on, drenched.
