Gita a Roma!

Today, I went to Rome to see my grandma! She flew into Milan and is going on a cruise, and she happened to stop by Rome, so I decided to take a 5 Euro train and visit her. I saw her at the Colosseum, and we went to the Vatican City. Because I have been to the Basilica in March already, I pointed out some cool stuff to my grandma and also showed off my Latin/Italian skills. But the best part was eating Korean food for lunch! We ate kimchi-jjikae and jaeyook-bokeum: there is a photo below.

After saying goodbyes, I met with my friends, Fi and Shanntal. We hung out in the Piazza di Spagna, but the Spanish steps were closed for construction (what a bummer).

Taking the train was a little rough (because the Italians never go by the schedule haha). So although Fi, Shanntal, and I showed up at the station in the morning around 7:30 for the 8 o'clock train to Rome, it did not show up until 9 AM. On the way back to Viterbo, however, the trains were on time! Thank goodness...
