Oh, Kids

Yesterday, my family went to a family friend's open land. There, the ten of us (4 of which were 4-6 year-olds) collected chestnuts that were lying on the ground. Since there were many hills, we slipped, we fell, and we rolled down the hills as well. It was nice to feel like a child again. Literally being surrounded by other kids probably helped.

That night, we invited the family over and tried to have a nice dinner. Well, what can you expect from 4 kids? They were constantly distracted and would not sit still. Thanks to my nonna, who knew how to handle kids, since she was an elementary school teacher for 35 years, the kids started to behave better. I ended up spoon-feeding one of the kids because watching him struggle to use the utensils was simply too adorable.

I like to think that I am rather good with kids, and my host family now seems to agree. But my host brother (especially his constant energy) is still too much to handle.
