After doing nothing yesterday, I was very eager to explore the city again. After all, the weather was finally sunny, after a cloudy weekend. So I woke up bright and early at 7 AM to go to Fernando's college with him and get some work done at the school's library. A funny fact about Fernando's school: it used to be an actual prison. You know how we always compare schools to prisons? Well, that analogy is correct here in Sevilla.
Anyway, I walked to the Cathedral by myself around 11 AM. I thought that there would not be a long line because I was there when it opened, but no, there was a huge queue. So after waiting for an hour, I finally tried to buy the ticket. In her broken English, the lady in charge told me that I could not go into the Cathedral because I (17 years old) was not accompanied by anyone over 18. The thing is: after I came back home, I searched everywhere for this piece of information but failed to find anything about it. What a waste of time... I did end up with some good photos though!
Frustrated, I met up with Fernando when he was done with his classes. To cheer me up, he took me to the river and Torre del Oro (which was nearby). We took a lot of photos along the way, some of which are shown below! But he kept meeting his old friends, so we stopped a few times in order that he has some time to catch up with his acquaintances.
Although I was pretty "pissed" that I could not go into the Cathedral by myself, I had a lot of fun just taking selfies and panaromas at the river. So I guess today was good after all!
