Yesterday, I went to Alcázar only for 2 euros (thank goodness they accepted unaccompanied minors). I walked around this amazing palace for two hours, which was not enough to appreciate the true beauty of this place! It was divided into three big sections: Gothic, Islamic, and the New World. Therefore, each section had unique characteristics. But my favorite was not the palace itself, but rather the gardens. I think I spent about 30 minutes inside the palace and the rest of my time there walking around the gardens enjoying the sun. Here are some photos of Alcázar, but the photos do not do justice to the beauty of Alcázar.
Today, I really wanted to get lost in the city, which was very easy to do. I somehow ended up in this giant park, where I followed a group of Italian kids on a tour. Then, I went to the famous neighborhood, Barrio Santa Cruz. From there, I walked along the river to buy some souvenirs and visit the bullfighting arena! Meanwhile, I encountered three different flamenco dancers on the street. It was a quite packed morning.
In the afternoon, I finally got to go inside the Cathedral with Fernando (he is probably so tired of going to the Cathedral FOR FREE)! When I walked into the Cathedral, I decided not to take a lot of photos because I just wanted to look around this magnificent place. After 10 minutes or so, we decided to walk up the Giralda Tower of the Cathedral. Here are some photos of the city from the topmost point of Sevilla!
After we came down from the Giralda Tower, we went to the back gardens of the Cathedral. I spotted two Korean female tourists, so I talked to them in Korean (which made me feel very happy). They took a photo of Fernando and me in front of the side door of the Cathedral:
The past two days have been very exciting, which makes me sadder to see that my stay in Sevilla is slowly ending.
