Cinque Giorni Round 2?

Throughout this week, SYA Italy hosted local Italian students as part of the immersion experience. And guess who came to our school today? 4As!!!! (aka my Cinque Giorni class)

Because I knew them already, I got to show them around and hang out with them throughout the day. They were mesmerized by our school, especially by our salone that is covered with nineteenth-century frescoes. They also liked the fact that the students get to move around and the teachers stay in their classrooms.

During our Italian class, we dressed up and put makeup on each other for the Carnival. Gioele (an Italian boy) and I volunteered to be facepainted, and in fifteen minutes, we became silly clowns! Just a note to those who do not know: the Carnival is a festival in Italy (and around the world) that lasts for a couple of weeks before the Lent season starts. For reference, here is a photo of the Carnival in Venice (which is famous in Italy for its grand Carnival festival):

Nothing really happens in Viterbo for the Canival unfortunately. But at least I got to spend a day of Carnival with my Cinque Giorni class!
