Luxembourg Part 4: Final Chapter

Today was the last day of GIN, which meant that we had to draft an Action Plan as our proposal for the future. So Francesca and I stepped up and outlined our future steps to take to further our projects.

Once everything was done, we ended up going back to the plaza from yesterday to spend free time before SYA France leaves Luxembourg via train. I went to a gelateria (why am I going to such Italian places when I'm outside of Italy??) with SYA France girls. While talking about almost anything, we noticed a piano that seemed pretty unused. So this girl named Pearl and I decided to give it a shot. Having asked for permission, we each played some pieces that we knew by memory. At a certain point, a guy came up with a camera and recorded us play!! When the applause erupted, I took my bow like a decent performer should. It was such a magical experience! Afterwards, we went back to the station while talking about dialects in Italian and French. It seems that Rennes also has a distinctive dialect like how Viterbo has its own.

SYA France kids left, but we have one more day in Luxembourg! For dinner, we decided to go as a group to a local creperie. Since Francesca knew how to speak French, she tried to explain menus to us, when an Italian waiter came up to us and helped us out. He was so surprised that 8 "American" students could speak Italian with such fluency in 7 months. While waiting for food, we asked for kids toys and with plastic spoons that came along with them, we built a trophy with candle wax! We were being so silly in public, but even our teacher joined us, so it's alright.

What a disappointment that I have to leave tomorrow! I want to stay here a big longer, but coincidentally, my personal diary met its final page today. This means that I will have to start a new diary when I leave Luxembourg and fly into Italy for the final chapter of my SYA experience. So I think it is meant to be (as cheesy as that sounds, it's true)!
