Sicilia Part 3: Siracusa

We spent the entire day to Siracusa (Syracuse), exploring the famous Greek theater and the new city of Siracusa.

After an incredible presentation of the material done by the Greek class, we had some time to explore the Greek theater. That obviously involved taking a lot of photos of each other (which I won't post here because most of them are horrendous lol). Afterwards, when we gathered at the entrance to get on the bus, I saw an EXO hat being sold at one of those street shops. It was crazy to see a hat made in China with a Korean band written on it being sold in Italy. So I obvioulsy bought it. What a global world!

I personally preferred the new Siracusa to the older version. Some must-see sights were the castle by the water or the piazza where the duomo is located. I tried taking photos of them but was rather unsuccessful, so if you have a chance, you must visit yourself!!

On our way back to our hotel, we encountered some locals playing some kind of water sport on the river, and we as a school divided into two cheering teams. They thought it was so funny that 50 Americans were cheering them on out of nowhere haha - they even talked to us afterwards about Siracusa and Sicily (all the information that will be useful for my Sicily Project!!)
